Being a Social Media Manager, I pretty much spend my life online. My brain is constantly processing information and finding new angles to work with, and of course consequences of being online are endless. Here are 10 of them:
- A big consequence of bring online is being aloud to use online comments/statements in news stories and be considered as legit.
- Google receives 2 million search queries EVERY MINUTE of every day
- People are more comfortable sharing their true feelings towards / about someone online than face-to-face
- Companies are beginning to use neuro science and higher understanding of brain function to makes websites “sticky” and manipulate consumers into purchasing their products.
- Ex's don't back off completely anymore. They go online and stalk.
- Being online allows me to share this blog, what a consequence!
- Many people don't need vast amounts of capital to start a business. It now costs minimal to create a website and to have an internet connection for entrepreneurs to work from home.
- It lets me discover and gain knowledge about anything, without paying lots of money.
- News is instant. Whatever happens in the world, gets shared immediately through social media platforms.
- The most unexpected consequence of being online is the change in Language grammar and the fading of face-to-face communication.
