Of all the forms of courage, the ability to laugh is important

When I attempt to do something that frightens me, the last thing I do is laugh about it. When I am standing on a cliff 25m up in the air about to jump into the water pool below, the last thing I'm thinking about is laughing.

When we do something that takes courage, we immediately start to feel frightened and start stressing when we should actually be laughing! What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger right?

Fear is the mother of all f**kups. If you are afraid to do something, then you don't have courage, which means you will never challenge yourself to do something amazing, or something scary. But life is actually an adventure and adventures require taking risks, having the courage to do things that frighten us and make us laugh!

Next time you find yourself in a situation that requires courage and you feel frightened, remember one of the following 10 reasons why laughing is good for you and just go ahead and laugh uncontrollably!

Eleanor Roosevelt
- Decreases stress hormones
- Helps us cope during lifes' unexpected curve balls
- Improves blood pressure and flow
- It provides a burst of exercise
- It impacts our blood sugar levels
- It helps us manage pain
- Boosts our social skills
- Reduces aggression
- Energises our organs; and
- Boosts our immune system
