Outdoor festivals --> The colour of my wind?

"A great wind is blowing, and that gives you either imagination or a headache."

I think that quote sums up my next post perfectly. The colour of the wind depends on which direction you choose to travel in! I travel in the direction of outdoor festivals.

My journey towards finding adventure, constantly, started at a very young age and one thing that always kept and still keeps me following the colourful direction of the wind is music. Therefore this post is dedicated to all the outdoor festivals in Cape Town I have attended in the past few years!

Three things attract me to outdoor festivals --> 1. The surroundings! 2. The music and 3. Happy faces dancing. There is no room for judgments or stereotyping. Everyone gets together for the same reason and that is for the music and freedom to express how they feel. Music, specifically in the outdoor scene, attracts people who just want to dance, be happy and forget about everyday stresses of duties and responsibilities! People travel with the direction of the wind to a venue so spectacular it makes you want to stay! I therefore think that the colour of the wind takes you towards the unknown. The unknown that would have stayed the unknown if the passion for music didn't exist!

Bright colourful lights and decor spark feelings of happiness, almost like being a child again! And although it is an amazing experience where friends meet, where imaginations run wild, where breathtaking landscapes are discovered, you still end up going home with a well worth it headache every time!
